The Role: We're looking for a proactive and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will work within our SEN provision, which is an integral part of our mainstream school. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with SEN in their day-to-day learning activities.
  • Work closely with the SENCo and classroom teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-on-one support and small group interventions.
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with external specialists and therapists when required.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting findings to the SENCo.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially within SEN settings, is highly advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
