Operations Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a specialist driver training provider delivering LGV, FLT, Driver CPC and MOD 4 training.

You’ll keep the operation running smoothly, maximise instructor and vehicle utilisation, and make sure courses are delivered efficiently, compliantly and on time.

The Role

• Manage daily operations, bookings and course scheduling
• Improve instructor and vehicle utilisation
• Coordinate instructors, vehicles, candidates and suppliers
• Oversee fleet maintenance, compliance and availability
• Manage candidate enquiries, payments and administration
• Monitor performance, training volumes and customer satisfaction
• Introduce practical process improvements to improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with DVSA, insurance and relevant regulations

About You

• Proven experience in operations management, ideally within transport, logistics or training
• Knowledge of LGV, Driver CPC or similar regulatory requirements
• Experience managing a small fleet, team or operational function
• Organised, commercially aware and confident making decisions
• Comfortable improving systems and processes in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
