Transport Operator - Felixstowe

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Operator to join a busy and growing UK haulage business. You’ll help keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly, coordinating drivers, vehicles, customers and deliveries.

The Role

• Plan and organise daily vehicle movements
• Allocate work to drivers and maximise vehicle utilisation
• Monitor collections and deliveries
• Manage delays, breakdowns and last-minute issues
• Plan routes and coordinate schedules
• Communicate with drivers, customers and suppliers
• Maintain accurate transport records and systems
• Ensure compliance with drivers’ hours and UK transport regulations

About You

• Previous experience in transport or road haulage
• Strong understanding of UK transport operations
• Experience coordinating drivers and vehicle movements
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and compliance
• Organised, proactive and confident under pressure
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and take ownership
