Transport Planner

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation, planning and coordinating transport to keep customer deliveries running efficiently and on time.

The Role

• Plan and coordinate daily transport movements
• Allocate work to carriers and monitor performance
• Plan routes and maximise vehicle utilisation
• Coordinate inbound and outbound movements with warehouse teams
• Monitor collections, deliveries and transport exceptions
• Use TMS and operational data to identify cost and efficiency improvements
• Produce transport KPI and performance reports
• Ensure all transport activity meets company, customer and regulatory requirements
• Support increased volumes during busy periods

About You

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner
• Experience within logistics, haulage, 3PL, retail or manufacturing
• Confident using TMS, Excel and transport planning systems
• Strong understanding of transport operations, costs and capacity
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Strong communication skills when dealing with carriers, customers and warehouse teams
