Are you a qualified accounting professional and strategic leader looking for a high-impact role with purpose?

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Finance & Commercial to lead a busy, collaborative finance and commercial function within a national organisation with an important public mission. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll provide strategic financial insight, ensure robust governance, and help shape key organisational decisions.

The role
Reporting to the executive leadership team, you’ll lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, payroll, procurement and commercial activity. You’ll ensure compliance with statutory and government frameworks, oversee annual accounts and audits, and embed strong financial discipline and value for money across the organisation. A key part of the role is inspiring and developing a high-performing team while working closely with senior stakeholders and non-financial colleagues.

About you
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with senior-level post-qualification experience and a proven track record of leading complex finance functions. You’ll combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, and demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration and integrity. Experience within the public sector or an arm’s-length body is advantageous.
