Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading manufacturer to recruit a CNC Machinist for their state-of-the-art facility in Barnsley. This is a permanent position offering long-term progression opportunities, structured pay increases, and monthly performance bonuses. 

Location: Barnsley
Pay: OTE £37,121 - £39,961 per year
Hours: Double Day Shift – Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 (rotating)
Friday 06:00-11:30 / 11:30-17:00

The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key part in ensuring the production of high-quality components within a world-class manufacturing team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating CNC machining centres to meet required quality and output targets
• Following planned daily targets to maintain production flow and Kanban stock levels
• Providing feedback to improve machining processes and reporting any delays
• Ensuring faults are not passed forward to subsequent processes
• Maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and workmanship

The Person
We are looking for someone who has:

• Ideally completed an apprenticeship with at least 3 years of machining experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC programmes and parameters
• Experience following standard operating procedures for setting fixtures and jobs
• PC literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
• A good understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations
• A proactive, team-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
