HR Specialist (Reduced Hours)

Onsite | Rotherham | Manufacturing
£40,000 FTE | 32-34 Hours per Week

Are you an experienced HR Specialist looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact? Following a recent HR team restructure, our client is strengthening their HR function, making this an exciting time to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business with a strong commitment to its people. The role is reduced hours c32-34 per week role which could be shorter days or a 9 day fortnight.

This is a hands-on, varied role supporting managers and employees across the full HR lifecycle. If you enjoy being the go-to person on site and thrive in a practical, fast-paced environment, this could be a fantastic next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end recruitment and coordination of selection processes
  • Delivering a smooth and engaging onboarding experience
  • Managing offboarding and exit processes
  • Handling employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
  • Supporting and guiding managers through performance reviews and capability processes
  • Coaching managers and senior leaders on day-to-day people matters
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting general HR administration
  • Supporting continuous improvement across HR systems, processes, and compliance
  • Contributing to engagement initiatives and fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and employment legislation

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced HR Generalist with exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or similar operational environments
  • Confident managing ER cases and advising managers at all levels
  • Proactive, approachable, and able to build strong on-site relationships
  • Highly organised, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small HR team
  • Ideally CIPD qualified (or equivalent), or with strong practical experience
  • Someone who brings energy, resilience, and a solutions-focused mindset
