Job Title: Group Financial Controller
Location: Huddersfield – Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, innovative customer communications business based in Huddersfield. This is a high-profile finance leadership role where you will ensure robust financial control, accurate reporting, and effective governance across the group, while supporting continued growth and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and inspire a finance team of five, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development

• Manage the preparation and consolidation of multi-currency group financial statements in line with GAAP

• Oversee month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, and tax compliance

• Maintain balance sheet control and monitor group cash flow and working capital

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing insight to influence commercial decisions

• Drive continuous improvement in internal controls, financial systems, and reporting processes

• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banking, and insurance partners

• Oversee payroll and transactional finance functions, supporting operational efficiency

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive senior finance experience

• Strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP & IFRS, including multi-currency group reporting

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret financial data and influence business outcomes

• Advanced Excel and ERP system skills; ERP implementation experience is advantageous

• High attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement
