Revenue Accountant 
Sheffield, South Yorkshire 

A growing business is looking to add a Revenue Accountant to its UK finance team based in Sheffield. This position is ideal for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant who is proactive, eager to develop, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of revenue recognition, you’ll be reviewing performance against forecasts, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and working closely with commercial teams to keep financial information up to date and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out month-end revenue analysis by customer, reviewing trends and movements against budgets and previous periods.
• Partner with Sales and Account Managers to validate revenue figures and maintain accurate customer data.
• Ensure transactions are recorded correctly and reflected appropriately within the general ledger.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, promptly investigating any discrepancies.
• Follow month-end timetables to meet internal and group reporting deadlines.
• Maintain compliance with internal financial controls and reporting standards.
• Assist with both group and local audit requirements.
• Provide clear, accurate reporting to support management decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as required.

About You:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA part-qualification preferred.
• Strong financial accounting experience, including journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Confident analysing financial data and interpreting trends.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Detail-focused, well organised, and able to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
