Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer in Grantham who are looking for a Quality Inspector. The business have recently invested heavily in new facilities, machinery, and product lines, making this an exciting time to join our growing team.
This a days-only role and you will inspect incoming materials, components, and supplies to ensure they meet high-quality standards before they reach production. You’ll help maintain product excellence by identifying and managing nonconforming materials, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
Duties& Responsibilities:
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials and components.
- Review supplier certificates, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Use precision measurement tools such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges.
- Record inspection results accurately in logs and databases.
- Identify and segregate nonconforming materials and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to resolve supplier quality issues.
- Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
I'm keen to speak to Quality Inspector's with the following experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality inspection, ideally in manufacturing or automotive.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with inspection tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
