Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer in Grantham who are looking for a Quality Inspector. The business have recently invested heavily in new facilities, machinery, and product lines, making this an exciting time to join our growing team.

This a days-only role and you will inspect incoming materials, components, and supplies to ensure they meet high-quality standards before they reach production. You’ll help maintain product excellence by identifying and managing nonconforming materials, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.

Duties& Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials and components.
  • Review supplier certificates, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Use precision measurement tools such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges.
  • Record inspection results accurately in logs and databases.
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming materials and escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to resolve supplier quality issues.
  • Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

I'm keen to speak to Quality Inspector's with the following experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality inspection, ideally in manufacturing or automotive.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with inspection tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
