Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join one of our leading Manufacturing clients in the Barnsley area

Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Manufacturing

Barnsley | £49,461 | Panama Shifts (Days & Nights)

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across factory machinery

• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly to reduce downtime

• Support development and delivery of Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules

• Work on continuous improvement projects to optimise plant performance

• Fault-find on PLC-controlled equipment (any programming knowledge is a bonus)

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise disruption

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)

• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar role

• Basic mechanical knowledge (multi-skilled ideal)

• Comfortable working on a Panama shift pattern

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
