Elevation are working with a growing and innovative organisation to recruit a Technical Product Manager to join their Product Development function.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will manage and deliver new products from concept through to launch, ensuring all technical, commercial and quality requirements are met. Working closely with design, sales, suppliers and testing teams, you will ensure products are developed on time, to specification and in line with agreed cost and performance targets.

Technical Product Manager, Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end development of new products, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines.

  • Work closely with the design team to ensure concepts, specifications, samples and prototypes meet the project brief and deadlines.

  • Own product project management activities, including critical path planning, development checklists and cost control.

  • Create and manage product costings, ensuring targets are achieved throughout development.

  • Select appropriate materials and components for each project, balancing performance, compliance and commercial requirements.

  • Liaise with testing and certification teams to ensure all required reports and approvals are in place.

  • Carry out bill of materials risk assessments and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Work closely with sales and commercial teams to capture end-user requirements and translate them into clear product briefs.

  • Engage directly with customers where required to understand needs and present new product solutions.

  • Conduct competitor and market research to support product positioning and innovation.

  • Attend trade events and exhibitions to stay informed of market trends and emerging technologies.

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, including regular visits to review materials, capabilities and innovations.

  • Source and evaluate new materials, maintaining an up-to-date physical and digital materials library.

  • Ensure selected materials and components are fit for purpose through internal evaluation and external testing.

  • Drive ongoing product improvement to ensure offerings remain competitive and market-leading.


Technical Product Manager Skills and Experience: 

  • Proven experience in a technical product management or product development role.

  • Strong understanding of regulated product development and compliance requirements.

  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • Confident multi-tasker who remains calm under pressure.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with external suppliers and manufacturing partners.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Collaborative team player with a shared focus on achieving business goals
