Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a leading manufacturing business who are recruiting a Group Quality Manager to be based out of Haslingden but cover 3 sites. This pivotal role ensures compliance with BRCGS standards, relevant ISO standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and continually improve the company’s QMS to ensure compliance with BRCGS, ISO and customer standards.
- Manage preparation and participation in customer, third-party and regulatory audits across all sites.
- Oversee effective investigation and closure of non-conformances, ensuring root causes are identified and robust corrective actions implemented.
- Plan, deliver and maintain internal audit schedules to ensure compliance and external audit readiness.
- Analyse quality performance data, monitor trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational excellence goals.
- Deliver training and coaching to build knowledge and foster a quality-first culture across sites.
- Collaborate with senior management and site leadership teams to align quality objectives with business strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and certification bodies.
About You
You will be an accomplished quality leader with a proven track record in manufacturing, ideally within the food packaging or related sectors. You’ll bring a strong understanding of BRCGS Packaging Materials, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards, along with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Key Requirements
- Significant experience in a senior quality management role within manufacturing or packaging.
- In-depth knowledge of BRCGS Packaging Materials and ISO 9001 (knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 advantageous).
- Strong internal and external auditing experience.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret quality data and implement effective improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel regularly to multiple UK sites.
- HACCP Level 3 (or equivalent).
