Job Description

Are you a proven Quality Manager looking to take ownership of quality strategy across a leading UK manufacturing operation? Our client, an established engineering and production business, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across several UK sites.

This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives on driving change, elevating standards, and developing high-performing teams.

As Quality Manager, you will be the organisation’s subject-matter expert and champion for all things quality. You’ll work cross-functionally with design, production, supply chain and senior leadership to ensure robust processes, effective compliance, and a culture of Right First Time.

You will be responsible for:

  • Setting, maintaining and improving quality standards aligned to customer, regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Managing and developing the company’s Quality Management System in line with industry frameworks (ISO, BSI, etc.).

  • Creating and maintaining technical documents, processes and procedures for new and existing products.

  • Leading product and process improvement initiatives, including Lean/CI/Kaizen activities.

  • Coaching and developing the Quality team to ensure optimum performance and future succession.

  • Managing internal and external audits, supplier assessments, and customer visits.

  • Leading root-cause analysis, corrective action processes, and customer complaint resolution.

  • Overseeing warranty processes and ensuring preventative quality measures are in place.

  • Analysing quality KPIs, preparing management reports, and recommending improvement actions.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous experience in a senior quality role within manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools, CI methodologies, and audit management.

  • Experience working with external accreditation bodies and regulatory standards.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire teams.

  • Competence with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and strong IT/reporting skills.

  • A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to drive meaningful change.
