Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading UK manufacturer who are seeking an experienced Safety, Health & Environmental Manager to oversee and continuously improve all aspects of health, safety, environmental, and compliance management across its operations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by driving a proactive safety culture and embedding best practice within a dynamic and growing business.
Working closely with senior management, production teams, and external regulatory bodies, you will act as the key point of contact for all SHE matters, ensuring robust processes are in place to protect people, property, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments, including COSHH and DSEAR compliance.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the organisation’s safety culture and performance.
- Manage fire safety systems, intruder alarms, and site security processes.
- Ensure compliance with waste management regulations, including the safe handling and transport of hazardous materials and VOCs.
- Oversee compliance with environmental and packaging legislation, implementing corrective and preventative actions where needed.
- Liaise with enforcing authorities, auditors, and waste management providers.
- Chair regular health and safety meetings and communicate updates across the business.
- Provide support and guidance to line managers and teams on day-to-day SHE issues.
I'm keen to speak to HSE Manager's with the following skillset:
- NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent level qualification) in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Strong working knowledge of health, safety, environmental, DSEAR, COSHH, waste, and packaging regulations.
- Proven experience in a similar SHE management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and influencing skills.
