Job Title: Contracts Metallurgist
Location: Sheffield Area
Salary: £40,000 - £46,000 per annum + benefits package
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time

We are looking for a Contracts Metallurgist with experience in nickel alloys and ideally hot working of metals. This is a hands-on role that combines desk-based contract review with active engagement with sales teams, internal departments, suppliers, and customers. You will ensure materials and production meet customer requirements while supporting quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contracts and customer orders to ensure correct materials and processes

• Interpret material specifications and verify compliance with customer requirements

• Liaise with sales, engineering, production teams, and suppliers

• Support testing, inspections, and documentation for quality and compliance

• Raise and manage non-conformance reports and concessions

Required Skills and Experience

• Degree or HND in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Materials Engineering

• Proven experience with nickel alloys; hot working experience is highly desirable

• Experience with quality management, testing, and material verification

• Confident and collaborative; able to work across teams and balance desk-based and hands-on work

• Aerospace or oil and gas experience is a plus
