Kitchen Designer - Key Account Specialist

Location: Huddersfield area
Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £28,000 + bonus (c£3,500)

Elevation Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturer supplying kitchens to the social housing sector, who are looking for a talented designer to manage a key account and deliver accurate designs, costings, and first-class service.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the full kitchen design and estimation process for a key housing association account. This will involve visiting tenants’ homes to measure spaces and advise on layout options, producing detailed designs, and ensuring all costings and orders are accurate and on schedule.

This is a varied, hands-on role with around three days a week spent on-site and the rest in the office or working on design and order management tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit tenant homes to take measurements, assess site conditions, and discuss layout options.

• Produce functional, compliant, and attractive kitchen designs using Winner CAD software.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and installation.

• Manage orders from approval through to delivery, ensuring specifications and deadlines are met.

• Liaise closely with housing association representatives, suppliers, and project managers.

• Ensure all designs meet housing association standards and building regulations.

About You

You’ll be someone who takes pride in getting the detail right – from precise measurements to delivering kitchens that meet both budget and compliance standards. You’ll also be confident communicating with end users and clients alike, balancing professionalism with a personable, customer-focused approach.

Essential:

• Solid understanding of kitchen design principles and ergonomics

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail

• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel locally

Desirable:

• Experience using Winner or similar design tools (AutoCAD, Fusion 2020)

• Previous work with housing associations or social housing kitchen supply

• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing structures
