Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering once again with an international, private equity-backed organisation experiencing rapid growth and delivering strong EBITDA performance. Following a series of senior strategic hires, we are now supporting the recruitment of a Financial Controller, a pivotal role for the next phase of the business's growth journey.

This is a hands-on, technically strong leadership role, suited to a driven finance professional who can take ownership of the finance operations, strengthen control environments, and support the business as it continues to scale including an anticipated exit within the next three years. An exceptional opportunity to gain invaluable private equity experience and play a key role in a business on an accelerated path to value creation.

This role offers a rare opportunity to gain invaluable PE-backed experience, working closely with the CFO and Head of FP&A through the full lifecycle of an exit event a standout addition to any future Finance Director’s CV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the finance operations team, driving a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.

  • Own the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, board reports, and audit-ready financials.

  • Strengthen and enhance the financial control environment, ensuring it’s fit for purpose during high-growth and future PE exit.

  • Reduce the month-end close cycle, embedding efficiency, accuracy, and robust financial processes.

  • Oversee all BAU financial activities including balance sheet control, cash management, statutory accounts, audit, and tax compliance.

  • Partner closely with the CFO to deliver investor reporting, refinancing preparation, and strategic projects.

  • Work alongside the Head of FP&A to ensure alignment between reporting, budgeting, and forecasting but remain focused on core finance operations.

  • Drive process optimisation, systems improvements, and reporting automation across the finance function.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.

  • Demonstrable track record in delivering strong financial governance, controls, and reporting frameworks within a scaling business.

  • Previous experience in a private equity-backed or fast-growth environment preferred.

  • Confident leading teams and improving processes while staying hands-on with detail when needed.

  • Strong technical grounding with the ability to handle both statutory and management reporting requirements confidently.

  • Ambitious, proactive, and looking for a role that will support your step towards a future Finance Director position.

Why Join?

  • Play a pivotal role in a high-performing business with a clear value creation plan.

  • Gain unique exposure to private equity operations and an upcoming exit process.

  • Work directly alongside an experienced CFO and influential senior leadership team.

  • Opportunity to own, shape, and elevate the finance function in a supportive, growth-focused culture.
