Job Description

Our client is a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Bradford, supplying high-quality products to major UK and international customers. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and sustainability, the company is strengthening its commitment to excellence through continuous improvement and alignment with international management standards.

As part of this commitment, the business is seeking a dedicated HSQE Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining and developing its management systems and supporting its further development.

Working closely with all departments, you’ll take a hands-on approach to audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring, ensuring the business continues to operate safely, responsibly, and efficiently.

You’ll be instrumental in promoting a strong quality and safety culture, supporting continuous improvement projects, and contributing to the company’s broader ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) and carbon reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continually improve BS EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 45001 with a target for certification in 2026.
  • Lead the internal compliance group and report progress against strategic business plans to the Executive Board.
  • Coordinate and prepare for external BSI audits (bi-annual).
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with new and emerging legislation.
  • Manage waste streams and contractor performance in line with environmental objectives.
  • Oversee document control, internal/external NCRs, and audit schedules.
  • Support supplier quality performance monitoring, including on-site visits.
  • Manage online training systems and ensure workforce H&S competence.
  • Collaborate with the company’s ESG consultant to support carbon footprint reduction goals.
  • Assist in compiling ESG data and KPI reports for senior management.

I'm keen to speak to QHSE Professionals with the following skillset:

  • Experience coordinating compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards within a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH qualification (or working towards) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality, health & safety, and environmental management principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with SAP B1 is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, process-driven, and able to work effectively across all levels of the business.
