Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a global manufacturing leader in Hereford who are seeking a HSE Manager. The role will lead the development and delivery of their HSE strategy. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across their high-risk manufacturing operations.

Duties & responsibilities: 

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of site HSE programs in line with corporate and regulatory requirements
• Provide strategic and operational HSE guidance to site leadership, ensuring best practices and legal compliance
• Develop and maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certified management systems
• Coordinate site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned and corrective actions are effectively implemented
• Drive cultural change and employee engagement in safety practices across all departments
• Deliver training and awareness programs to promote ownership of HSE responsibilities
• Prepare and present monthly performance reports to senior stakeholders
• Act as the main liaison with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of all compliance documentation

I'm keen to speak to Senior HSE Professionals with the following skillset: 

• Minimum NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent postgraduate HSE qualification
• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH)
• At least 5 years' experience in an HSE management role within a heavy industrial or high-risk manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of UK EHS legislation, ISO 14001 & 45001 standards, and process safety principles
• Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills
• Ability to influence at all levels, from shop floor to boardroom
