CNC Machinist – Machine Shop
Location:  Irvine, Scotland
Shifts: Days and Nights Rotating
Salary: Competitive

The Role:

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for machining medium to heavy components to tight tolerances, following engineering drawings and quality standards. You will be working with high-grade materials including Inconel 718 and will be expected to set and program CNC machines using Mazatrol.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set, operate, and program Mazatrol CNC Milling Machines.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Machine components to a high standard, ensuring all work meets customer and internal quality standards.
• Work within estimated production times to maximise efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and respond positively to change and improvement.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Time-served with a minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in CNC machining.
• Confident in setting and programming Mazatrol-controlled machining centres.
• Experience with CNC Horizontal or Vertical Borers, Machining Centres or Mill-Turns.
• Strong understanding of tooling applications, feed rates, and speeds to ensure efficient cycle times.
• Previous experience working with high-grade materials such as Inconel is desirable.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable approach with strong communication skills.
