Corporate Tax Manager

Location: Liverpool (2-3 Days in the office) 

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000

We're on the lookout for a commercially savvy Corporate Tax Manager to join a UK-based, internationally backed business at an exciting time of transformation. This standalone position is ideal for someone who wants to shape the future of tax within a growing group while enjoying the autonomy and visibility that comes with being the in-house expert.

Working within a diverse, international group, you’ll gain exposure to complex transactions, strategic initiatives, and multiple tax heads—including corporate, transfer pricing, and R&D—while having the support of a well-established Group Tax function. You’ll be the go-to person for all things corporate tax and have a direct line into senior leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and manage the end-to-end corporate tax compliance and advisory process.
• Lead on transfer pricing documentation and reviews, ensuring compliance with UK and international standards.
• Be the front line for HMRC investigations, tax audits, and SAO compliance.
• Provide advisory on group reorganisations, refinancing, and M&A activity.
• Contribute to high-value, cross-functional projects and support tax strategy alignment with wider commercial goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified ACA / ACCA / CA / CTA or equivalent, ideally with post-qualification tax specialism.
• 4–8+ years of strong UK corporate tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 or top-tier practice, with in-house exposure.
• Strong grasp of UK tax legislation, transfer pricing, and HMRC engagement.
• Confident working autonomously in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Excellent communication skills – able to translate complex tax into clear business insight.
