Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading steel manufacturer to recruit an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team based in Rotherham.

Working Hours- 4 on 4 off days and nights (2 days and 2 nights)

Salary £46,535 to £50,107

Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will include: 

• Work to the company's Safety, Health, Environmental policy, associated standards and procedures
• Providing first line maintenance/breakdown
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks
• Having a continuous improvement focus on a daily basis
• Facilitate lean ways of working to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
• Leading, coaching and developing other employees
• Practise continuous improvement, innovation and pro-activeness for improved ways of working
• Ensure that all parts required are booked out correctly

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Engineers with the following:

• BTEC/ NVQ qualified in an Mechanical Engineering
• Have electrical knowledge with 2 phase motors and basic electric work
• Ideally electrical experience in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment
• Practical Mechanical / Electrical hands-on skills
• Good fault finding and problem solving skills
• Good knowledge of continuous improvement programmes, particularly planned maintenance activities
