Audit Senior Sheffield, South Yorkshire Competitive Salary - flexible dependant on experience
We’re looking for a proactive Audit Senior to join a professional services team. This is a client-facing role offering a diverse workload across audit, accounts preparation, and advisory assignments for a wide-ranging client base. The successful candidate will gain exposure to different industries and be given the opportunity to develop their technical and leadership skills within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Compile statutory financial statements for a variety of entities including limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, and sole traders
Take ownership of audit assignments from initial planning and risk assessment through to fieldwork and final reporting. This will include on-site visits, leading testing procedures, and ensuring compliance with audit standards
Get involved in specialised assurance work such as grant verification for public sector bodies and regulatory reporting for legal firms
Assist clients with the production of interim management accounts and provide ongoing financial support as part of our general practice services.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries efficiently and maintaining strong professional relationships
Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues where needed and sharing your knowledge to help train junior team members
