Carding Rewire EngineerLocation: Mirfield, UK
Shifts: Full-Time, Day Shift (with flexibility for shift cover)
Salary: £40,000
A leading manufacturer in Mirfield is seeking a skilled Carding Rewire Engineer to support the maintenance, rewiring, and continuous improvement of carding and production machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rewire and mechanically maintain carding machines and other production equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
- Communicate with machine operators and the wider maintenance team to resolve issues quickly.
- Support capital improvement and engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including personal tools and shared workshop spaces.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Time-served engineer or City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in carding wire fettling
- Strong background in machinery maintenance, fault finding, and repair (including hydraulics, pneumatics).
- Competency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
