Elevation are working on a fantastic opportunity and are keen to speak to PLC Process Controls Engineers to join a reputable business based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
We’re looking to speak to proactive, production-oriented engineers to take ownership of the plant’s Manufacturing Control Systems. You’ll play a key hands-on role in maintaining, repairing, and developing critical systems that support 24/7 production.

What you will be doing as a PLC Controls Engineer:
Carry out regular maintenance and hands-on repair of Manufacturing Control Systems
Support production teams with troubleshooting and technical issues in real-time
Respond to breakdowns and support call-outs when needed
Assist in improving and modifying existing systems to boost performance and reliability
Work with Technical Services and contractors to implement upgrades or new systems
Support small-scale design, development, and installation projects
Help manage and oversee contractors working on-site
Ensure all systems are operating efficiently and safely at all times
What we are looking for from a PLC Control Engineer:
Skills and Experience:
Solid understanding of control systems in a manufacturing or production setting
Experience in hands-on maintenance, technical support, and system improvements
Comfortable working in a 24/7 environment and responding quickly to urgent issues
Skilled in using SCADA systems to monitor and control plant performance
Experience working with Allen Bradley or Siemens NX control systems
Understanding of LAN and WAN networking within a manufacturing environment
Experience managing or supporting external contractors
Clear, confident communication and teamwork skills
A mindset for continuous improvement, with the drive to take on new challenges
Qualifications we are hoping to see:
Recognised qualification in Electrical, Controls, or Automation Engineering
Additional training or certification in PLC, SCADA, or systems integration (desirable)
Prior experience in a high-volume or fast-paced production environment
