Elevation Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of a long-standing Oil & Gas business to recruit a skilled Deep Hole Borer Machinist to join their team in Sheffield.

Role: Deep Hole Borer
Location: Sheffield
Shift Pattern: Days & Nights
Salary: Competitive DOE

Responsibilities:

• Set and operate deep hole boring machines to produce high-precision components
• Work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure components meet tight tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and fault-finding on machinery
• Adhere to health & safety and quality standards at all times
• Communicate effectively with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Proven experience in deep hole boring and precision machining
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and measurement equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience with CNC machining and programming (advantageous)
