Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint a Graduate Quality Engineer to join their expanding quality team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent engineering graduate who has had exposure to CMM operation or programming and Quality Inspection and is now looking to develop a long-term career in quality engineering within a high-spec manufacturing environment.

The Role:
As Graduate Quality Engineer, you will support the quality team across all areas of inspection, compliance, and process improvement. You'll play a key role in maintaining product standards and driving a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and supporting programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)

  • Conducting component inspections using both manual and automated methods

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T specifications

  • Supporting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

  • Assisting with internal audits and maintaining quality documentation

  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements

Person Specification:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or a related Engineering discipline

  • Exposure to CMM inspection and/or programming (e.g. Mitutoyo, PC-DMIS, or similar)

  • Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerance standards

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive approach with strong communication and teamworking abilities

  • Keen to develop professionally within a high-quality manufacturing environment

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 standards

  • Experience with basic quality tools and techniques (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto)
