2nd Line Engineer

Location: London, SE1
Salary: £30,000–£38,000 depending on experience
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days working from hom

We’re looking for a 2nd Line Engineer to join a growing technical team in London.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong IT support background who wants to continue developing their skills across Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune, Entra ID, Azure and PowerShell automation.

The Role

You’ll provide hands-on technical support to users and client environments, troubleshooting a range of Microsoft and Windows-related issues. Alongside day-to-day support, you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved with scripting and automation to help improve and streamline support processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and Windows issues
• Resolving incidents and service requests
• Supporting account and access issues
• Device setup, configuration and enrolment
• Supporting Intune, Entra ID and Azure environments
• Helping maintain and improve PowerShell scripts
• Identifying repetitive tasks that could be automated
• Supporting endpoint policies, monitoring and patching
• Maintaining clear technical documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within IT Support, Service Desk or a similar technical support role
• Strong Windows and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting skills
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Experience with Intune, Entra ID, Azure or PowerShell would be beneficial
• An interest in scripting and automation
• MSP or multi-client experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
• Someone keen to learn and develop their technical skills

You don't need experience with every technology listed. This role would suit someone with a solid support background who is looking for a position where they can develop further into Microsoft cloud technologies and automation.
