IT Support Engineer

£25,000 - £27,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for a friendly and technically minded Service Bar Technician/IT Support Engineer to join an onsite IT support team in Whitehaven.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Service Desk or a customer-facing technical role who enjoys working directly with users and resolving issues face-to-face.

The Role

You’ll provide hands-on, walk-up IT support to end users, helping diagnose and resolve a variety of day-to-day technical issues across laptops, mobile devices, Windows and Microsoft applications. You’ll also log and manage incidents through ServiceNow, escalate more complex issues to relevant support teams and help keep IT asset information up to date.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within IT Support or a customer-facing technical environment
• Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Basic knowledge of IT hardware, including laptops, memory, hard drives and smartphones
• Understanding of networking fundamentals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Confident communication and customer service skills
• Experience with ServiceNow would be beneficial
• Active Directory administration experience would be advantageous
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
