An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Infrastructure Construction Project Manager to support a major expansion of a global R&D facility in Cork.

This role requires a highly hands-on, site-focused Project Manager who can bridge the gap between construction, facilities, and enterprise technology teams. You'll oversee the delivery of all IT, network, security, structured cabling, and AV infrastructure, ensuring technology requirements are fully integrated into the construction programme from design through to commissioning and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technology infrastructure delivery across the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate enterprise network, wireless, WAN, structured cabling, MDF/IDF, security, and AV deployments.
  • Review architectural drawings, low-voltage designs, and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure technology requirements are embedded into construction milestones and site readiness plans.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, project schedules, and reporting.
  • Coordinate multiple technology vendors, contractors, system integrators, and delivery teams.
  • Support site inspections, commissioning activities, testing, and technology acceptance.
  • Act as the key on-site liaison between IT, facilities, engineering, construction teams, and business stakeholders.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale IT infrastructure programmes.
  • Experience supporting construction projects, facility expansions, new-builds, or major refits.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, wireless infrastructure, security systems, firewalls, segmentation, and secure access solutions.
  • Experience overseeing structured cabling, MDF/IDF environments, and technology deployments within construction settings.
  • Familiarity with AV and collaboration technologies, including conference room solutions, digital signage, and collaboration spaces.
  • Experience reviewing architectural, engineering, and construction documentation.
  • Strong vendor, stakeholder, and system integrator management experience.
  • Proficiency with project planning and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work effectively within complex, matrix-managed environments.
