Mainframe Automation Consultant

Location:                             Remote

Contract Length:            Three – Six Months

IR35 Status                         Outside IR35
Rate:                                     Circa £600 Per Day        

The Role

I am working with a longstanding client who require an experienced Mainframe Automation Consultant to support a major automation migration programme.

The role is focused on converting existing OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs into BMC AMI Ops Automation and the successful candidate will bring deep mainframe automation expertise, strong REXX development skills and a proven track record delivering automation conversion projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly specialised programme where your expertise in REXX, Mainframe Automation and AMI Ops Automation will be central to the success of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs into BMC AMI Ops Automation
• Review and optimise existing automation processes
• Develop and maintain REXX-based automation solutions
• Support the migration of critical operational workloads
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure a successful transition

Essential Skills

• Strong REXX development experience
• Hands on experience with OPS/MVS and BMC AMI Ops Automation
• Proven automation conversion or migration experience
• Strong understanding of Mainframe environments
• Experience working with Rules and EXECs

Desirable

• Broad Mainframe automation expertise
• Experience supporting large scale enterprise environments
