Head of Applications

Location:                          Alcester (Hybrid working)

Contract Length:             3 months

Rate:                                  £500 per day (Outside IR35)

Personal Profile

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Applications to lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise and healthcare applications across the organisation.

This role will own the applications strategy, ensuring critical systems are secure, reliable, integrated, and aligned with operational and customer care objectives. You will play a key role in driving digital transformation, modernising the technology estate, and delivering scalable business solutions across a regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise applications strategy aligned to business and digital transformation goals.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of business applications, including implementation, optimisation, upgrades, integrations, and retirement.
• Drive modernisation initiatives with a focus on cloud-first, API-led, and interoperable solutions.
• Lead application-related projects and ensure successful delivery across operational teams.
