DBA Lead – Sybase IQ
Initial 3-month Contract Role
Hybrid working in London
£550 - £600, Inside IR35
We’re partnering with a Global IT Services Provider supporting them with the search for a Sybase IQ DBA Lead to manage and optimise SAP IQ environments for large-scale analytics and date warehousing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP IQ database administration, including monitoring, performance tuning, and optimisation.
- Oversee near-line storage (NLS) solutions and integration with SAP HANA.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, migrations, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement and enforce database best practices, standards, and governance.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to support high-volume data ingestion and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Extensive SAP IQ (Sybase IQ) DBA experience.
- Strong experience with analytics-focused databases optimized for large-scale data warehousing.
- Experience leading a team or technical initiatives.
- Hands-on with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting for Sybase IQ
- NLS and SAP HANA integration experience is a plus.
