Job Title: Warehouse Lead Location: Skelmersdale (Full-time, On-site) Contract: 6 Months

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations at our Skelmersdale site.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who can be effective from day one. You’ll support both production and dispatch warehouses, ensuring smooth processes, strong performance, and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead day-to-day warehouse operations across production and dispatch.

· Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and service at all times.

· Provide clear, consistent leadership and operational guidance to the warehouse team.

· Monitor operational rates and collect, collate, and present reports for Tier 3 meetings.

· Work within the frameworks and constraints of the newly implemented SAP system.

· Support warehouse teams in navigating SAP processes, even where tasks may be time-consuming.

· Bring external warehouse best practices to help uplift performance.

· Manage activities such as picking materials for production and preparing customer orders for dispatch.

· Help drive structure, discipline, and efficiency in day-to-day warehouse operations.

Skills and Experience

· Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role, ideally within fast-moving production environments.

· Ability to step into a new operation and be up and running immediately

· Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including picking for production and dispatch.

· Experience with SAP or SAP-based warehouse management practices is highly desirable.

· Able to work effectively within structured systems and maintain high attention to detail.

· Brings strong external insight into warehouse best practices and operational excellence.

· Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
