Position Summary:

Arcadis is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Semiconductor operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to become part of a well-established A&E design team and grow their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic architectural design and drafting on a variety of assignments, applying standard architectural techniques to small projects or selected portions of larger projects, including tool installation projects, under the supervision of senior-level architectural team members.

Proven success working for an EPCM company in a similar role supporting cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fabrication facilities, and tool installation projects, as well as data centers, solar manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical facilities is highly desirable.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Performs design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work, including layouts that support tool and equipment installation.
  • Implements the development of preliminary presentations and construction documentation, including drawings that support tool installation and equipment interface requirements.
  • Provides architectural/design assistance for various projects, including cleanroom, laboratory, and tool installation project scopes.
  • General to intermediate knowledge of industry standards regarding architectural design, quality, graphics, terminology, and information provided on contract drawings, including requirements relevant to tool installation environments.
  • Works with design teams on multiple projects at once and meets project deadlines.
  • Coordinates work with project engineers and other disciplines to support tool installation and equipment integration.
  • Utilizes design software platforms such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Successfully interacts with the design team and follows the direction of senior architectural team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Bluebeam; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills; well organized, engaged, flexible, and self-motivated.
  • Experience supporting cleanroom, laboratory, or tool installation projects in semiconductor, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (German/English).
