The Project Controls Manager will lead and manage a Project Controls team in the effective and timely delivery of all aspects of Project Controls for multiple blue-chip client projects from concept through to handover. He/she will be responsible for executing, supervising and coordinating the generation of Key Project Controls deliverables in conjunction with multi-disciplinary project teams. The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader who brings experience, integrity, agility and innovation to the role in leading an ambitious, professional Project Controls team in a dynamic, fast growing, Lean Operation

 Summary Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Project Controls team in the effective and timely delivery of all aspects of Costs, Cost
• reporting, Schedule, Planning and Contracts
• Accountable for effectively managing all areas of the Project Controls team
• Management of Project Control Hours, KPI Delivery, Performance management, Annual Leave, CPD, Continuous Improvement etc.
• Ensure that appropriate Project Controls strategies are prepared, reviewed and approved for all Projects.
• Responsible for the execution of Project Controls deliverables within an agreed schedule agreed hours and to
• an acceptable quality.
• Establish rules and methodologies that are aligned with the client requirements for Project Cost reporting and
• forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with existing approved Project Controls procedures and oversee the development of all Project Controls procedural updates.
• Ensure that accurate Project estimates and Forecasts are prepared and presented to all associated stakeholders on time.
• Establish appropriate and accurate contract schedules, budgets and forecasts for all projects.
• Ensure accurate Monthly cost reports are generated, reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
• Provide all necessary information requested to manage and forecast project outcomes in relation to Costs,
• Schedule and Contracts including Change Management.
• Implement appropriate Lean execution methods including Last Planner, Target Value Design, etc.
• Manage and articulate communications with all key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of projects both internally and externally
•  Identify and lead strategic cost control efforts within a project.
• Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching and SME support to the Project Controls team.
• Align with and drive the Continuous Improvement Culture in Arcadis
• Lead Cost Control efficiency and Lean initiatives both within the department and on client projects. 
• Other reasonable work as requested by the Operations Director

Skills and Experience Required

• Candidates should have a third-level qualification in the relevant discipline and typically 10+ years’ procurement/cost controls experience.    
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary design office or equivalent client engineering team.
• Leading and motivating a team.
• Knowledge of auditing, budgeting, estimating, and forecasting. 
• Previous exposure to lean working practices 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking and communication skills. 
• Strong presentation skills. 
• Self-starter capable of working on own with minimal supervision and capable of supervising direct reports. 
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills

Preferable:

• German Speaking Desirable
• Previously worked on German Projects
• Experience with Semiconductor/Data Centre Projects

Positionsübersicht – Project Controls Manager
Der Project Controls Manager wird ein Team für Projektsteuerung leiten und managen, um alle Aspekte der Projektsteuerung für mehrere Projekte von Blue-Chip-Kunden von der Konzeption bis zur Übergabe effektiv und termingerecht umzusetzen. Er/sie ist verantwortlich für die Ausführung, Überwachung und Koordination der Erstellung von Schlüssel-Dokumenten der Projektsteuerung in Zusammenarbeit mit multidisziplinären Projektteams. Die erfolgreiche Kandidatin/der erfolgreiche Kandidat ist eine erfahrene Führungskraft mit Integrität, Agilität und Innovationskraft, die ein ambitioniertes, professionelles Projektsteuerungsteam in einem dynamischen, schnell wachsenden Lean-Betrieb führt.

Zusammenfassung der Aufgaben

• Leitung und Management eines Projektsteuerungsteams zur effektiven und termingerechten Umsetzung aller Aspekte von Kosten, Kostenberichterstattung, Zeitplanung, Planung und Verträgen
• Verantwortlich für das Management aller Bereiche des Projektsteuerungsteams
• Verwaltung von Projektsteuerungsstunden, KPI-Erreichung, Leistungsmanagement, Urlaubsplanung, CPD, kontinuierliche Verbesserung usw.
• Sicherstellung, dass geeignete Strategien für die Projektsteuerung vorbereitet, überprüft und genehmigt werden
• Verantwortung für die Umsetzung von Projektsteuerungsleistungen innerhalb eines vereinbarten Zeitplans und Qualitätsstandards
• Etablierung von Regeln und Methoden für Kostenberichterstattung und Prognosen gemäß Kundenanforderungen
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung bestehender genehmigter Verfahren und Überwachung von Aktualisierungen
• Erstellung und Präsentation genauer Projektkostenschätzungen und Prognosen
• Erstellung von Vertragszeitplänen, Budgets und Prognosen
• Erstellung und Genehmigung monatlicher Kostenberichte
• Bereitstellung aller notwendigen Informationen zur Steuerung und Prognose von Kosten, Zeitplänen und Verträgen inkl. Änderungsmanagement
• Umsetzung von Lean-Methoden wie Last Planner, Target Value Design usw.
• Kommunikation mit allen wichtigen Stakeholdern intern und extern
• Identifikation und Leitung strategischer Kostenkontrollmaßnahmen
• Mentoring, Coaching und fachliche Unterstützung des Teams
• Förderung der Kultur der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung bei Arcadis

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen

• Hochschulabschluss in einem relevanten Fachgebiet und typischerweise 10+ Jahre Erfahrung in Beschaffung/Kostenkontrolle
• Erfahrung in einem multidisziplinären Designbüro oder vergleichbarem Kundenengineering-Team
• Führung und Motivation eines Teams
• Kenntnisse in Auditing, Budgetierung, Schätzung und Prognose
• Erfahrung mit Lean-Arbeitspraktiken
• Fähigkeit, in einem schnelllebigen Umfeld zu arbeiten und Fristen einzuhalten
• Ausgezeichnete zwischenmenschliche, organisatorische, multitasking- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
• Starke Präsentationsfähigkeiten
