Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Business Director. The Business Director, US Semiconductor is responsible for the US Semiconductor Business Unit, ensuring excellence in delivery of services to clients across the US with a focus on safety, profitability, growth, and team development. The majority of projects will be for clients in the Advanced Technology/Semiconductor industries, including Design, Construction, Tool Install, and Managed Services around High Volume Manufacturing and Research and Development Facility projects.

As an individual with broad expertise in all aspects of advanced facility design and construction and proven business acumen, the Business Director will be part of the Global Semiconductor Business Unit leadership team collaborating across all regions to drive business growth, excellence in delivery, team development, and utilization of Arcadis Global Excellence Centers. Externally, they are expected to represent the firm at industry events, prepare white papers to promote the brand, and maintain strong client relationships.

Role accountabilities:

• Manages operations of the US Semiconductor Business Unit across all regional locations, including line management of Project Management, Design, Construction, Project Controls, Procurement, and Managed Services department directors.
• Responsible for US Business Unit performance including financials, order intake, revenue, and margin.
• Close collaboration with Global Semiconductor Business development and Marketing.
• Drive pursuits and associated fee development, risk assessments, and contract reviews.
• Executive level oversight of all active US Business unit projects, working closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, and Finance including project performance monitoring.
• Foster a collaborative culture built on trust, with a strong emphasis on achieving an incident-free workplace, driving growth, and ensuring the success of both our team and clients.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related technical, construction, or business field with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer), AIA (American Institute of Architects), or an MBA are preferred qualifications.
• Software proficiencies should include Deltek, Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project
• Proven leadership experience in semiconductor or advanced technology sectors, with experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams, driving operational and financial performance, negotiating complex contracts, and executing large-scale design and construction projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
