Position Title: Cleanroom Engineer Junior Location: Magdeburg, DE Reports to: Project Manager Contract type: Negotiable

Position Summary:
The Cleanroom Engineer is responsible for the care and maintenance of the cleanroom and associated equipment. The Cleanroom Engineer is also responsible for ensuring all equipment and test fixtures are calibrated on schedule, and that raw materials are stored safely, properly, and clearly identified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technically competent on all engineering and design aspects of Cleanroom Buildouts including the Air Systems, Wall, Floor, and other Supporting Cleanroom Systems.
  • Understand and apply ISO Cleanroom Protocol Standards and their application to design and Construction Work in a Live Cleanroom Environment.
  • Technically Competent on all aspects of Civil, Structural and Architectural Construction. Understands how to drill, excavate, construct and commission new Buildings and Building Extensions while working around Live Services.
  • Monitor and enforce clean room procedures
  • Monitor cleanroom protocol
  • Coach users on correct procedures and etiquette
  • Maintain appropriate standards of assigned areas
  • Oversee stock levels of garments and consumables
  • Manage local systems, deal & action requests, compile regular reports
  • Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures
  • Understand critical nature of all clean spaces
  • Keep regular notes and logs of any violations
  • Report non-compliance of gown room protocol
  • Input to CPA development
  • Participating in Design reviews
  • Technical & constructability input to Design Reviews
  • Technical & constructability input to Schedule development
  • Technical & constructability input to Cost challenges
  • Strong advocate for Safety performance in field
  • Work with Procurement Teams in the Client, General Contractor & A&E organisations to ensure Long Lead Equipment is Designed, Ordered, Inspected and delivered onsite to meet Schedule
  • Working with support groups & other work groups
  • Monitor track, influence & manage from design process, through construction, through OAT's
  • / FAT's, matching to white paper complete & approved
  • Development of procedures & policies to ensure an effective & efficient delivery of the project.
  • Ensuring that the work is being performed to Client policies and expectations
  • Responsible for the development of effective process design deliverables to support all aspects of construction

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience on large multidiscipline projects in a design or engineering role.

Essential Skills:

  • Good communicator both written and verbal
  • Manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity. - Proven track record of managing a design discipline of large complex technical facilities and equipment installation construction projects in high tech industries
  • Strong technical expertise in project engineering and ability to provide tactical direction to a large engineering team, both direct and matrix report - Ability to effectively communicate technical engineering and design information and solutions to a wide audience of stakeholders.
  • Team management experience within project engineering, microelectronics, or similar industry.
  • Excellent communication skills (ability to lead technical reviews).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to build, lead, develop and motivate a team of high-performing professionals.
  • Strong presentation & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
  • Project management experience an advantage.

Working hours: 40+ hours, Monday to Friday
