Job Description

Summary
Arcadis DPS is seeking an experienced Design Project Manager to join our onsite team in Chandler, AZ to work in conjunction with the design team, directly responsible for design and installation of facilities systems in support of semiconductor wafer fabs. Utility systems include chemicals, gasses, variety of electrical systems, water systems, HVAC, waste, vacuum, and controls. These systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.
Successful candidates will have minimum 5 years’ experience in Engineering and leading projects for facilities systems design and installation, with technical background and hands-on design, calculations, and creation of construction documents.
This is a fulltime onsite role at the client site in Chandler, AZ and will require the selected individual to live within commutable distance of the project. Will consider US based candidates willing to relocate from outside of the area.


Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility for managing projects of varying sizes and scopes
  • Determine and define project scope, objectives, and milestones
  • Ensure projects and systems are compliant with applicable codes, cost effective, and meet the desired design criteria while adhering to schedule and budget guidelines
  • Manage project finances, procurement, estimates, forecasting, and close out documentation
  • Preparation of budget based on scope of work, schedule, and resources
  • Organize and plan design activities, create construction documents or manage external design teams and perform project management in conjunction with other design disciplines.
  • Provide construction administration and management within operating manufacturing facilities
  • Complete projects safely and reliably with zero impact to customer operations
  • Successfully interface with customer organizations and maintain effective communications from project conception through close-out
  • Ability to create construction drawings, details, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with five years of experience in engineering and managing projects for industrial facilities preferably in the semiconductor industry
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and learn quickly
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to plan and execute projects seamlessly across project lifecycle
  • Experience with hands-on design, calculations, and creation of construction documents.
  • Commitment to a safe, reliable, and efficient work environment
  • Collaboratively solve problems with input from all disciplines, teams and stakeholders
  • Exhibit strong leadership and influencing ability
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing problems and developing corrective actions

  • Understanding of facilities systems and equipment

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet their multiple deadlines
  • Use Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and similar software to complete various tasks associated with the work above
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
