Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist will support the sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and management support for the Client. This position will work closely with local or site-based Contract Managers, for design, engineering, finance, legal, and construction to deliver complex projects enabling Client manufacturing capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Supply Chain Specialist will be required to develop, negotiate, and evaluate contracts on behalf of the Client.
  • This role is charged with ensuring that both parties are aligned and complicit with contracts terms, as well as ensuring that all contracts abide by legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review contract estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, etc and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate.
  • The Supply Chain Specialist will be required to support the development and adhere to the management of internal and external relationships
  • Partners with a diverse stakeholder base to support and uphold commodity strategies based on business market intelligence long term analysis of the category commodity and the supply ecosystem.
  • Acquires and maintains industry market and technical knowledge of commodities.
  • Supports supplier sourcing selection and performance management
  • Negotiates purchasing contracts statement of works and pricing for goods and or services.
  • Drives cost saving opportunities in partnership with suppliers and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Write contract letters, communications, and notices.
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on project.
  • Create regular status reports regarding progress on projects.
  • Develop contract proposals to support project goals.
  • Co-ordinate tenders and then manage the day-to-day contract management after.
  • Communicate with Trades on procurement/delivery status
  • Pull report from Trades on weekly basis.
  • Ensure Trades provide report and good data.
  • Support enhancement of procurement processes through analysis, problem solving and escalations to Trades and Supply Chain Management to mitigate impacts/ if ongoing issue.

Education & Experience:

  • QS/Procurement background
  • Experience in Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical industry an advantage
  • Experience on site enabling type work an advantage
  • Strong ability to negotiate and get value across medium site projects.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Can do and solution driven attitude
  • Willing to learn and develop
