Position Summary:
Arcadis DPS Advanced Technology Group is seeking an experienced Field Coordinator with a solid background in construction support to join our growing team based in Ocotillo, Arizona. The Field Coordinator will coordinate the activities for the tools under their ownership. The Field Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and will take responsibility for implementation of the plans developed by the Project Manager. Field Coordinator is focal point of all trade activities for the respective Tool install area. The Field Coordinator will work directly with our client to ensure successful delivery of all applicable tool install scope. The Field Coordinator drives safe completion of scope necessary to achieve and improve reliable delivery of the Clients Master Schedule Milestone requirements. In this endeavor, the Field Coordinator will partner directly with the PIT Lead and/or TIPM as an empowered representative of the PIT; the Field Coordinator is the leader at the point of work, collaborating directly with Trade Partners, Tool Owners, System Owners, and 3rd Parties. Responsible to monitor assigned tool progress toward the Milestones (e.g. Prefac, Move-in & set, and SL1-C/SL2-C activities) and ensure they are well planned/coordinated/executed to meet the Team's commitments. The Field Coordinator is the First-Line-of-Communications for all project team members regarding tactical field TI operations. The Field Coordinator shall work within the team to identify and remove constraints, help mitigate risks effecting the implementation of construction scope, and will escalate all constraints that cannot be removed within the PIT structure. Also holds all Team members accountable for process and procedural discipline at the point of work to ensure a safe construction environment is achieved daily.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

  • Safety -Process Adherence: Understands the Work Control Processes, safe work practices and actively pursues safety performance excellence every day.
  • Owner/Driver Safety -Housekeeping: Ensures all project work areas are in compliance with general housekeeping standards. Fully understands the process for decontamination, disposal, handling and transportation of material and/or production equipment.
  • Collaborator / Coordinator Safety -Interruptions to Production: Accountable for implementing the proactive process for identification and mitigation of all trigger points within each Tool's areas of work before Prefac Start on each and every tool. Mitigation will be achieved through coordinated Trade implementation of material mitigation methods.
  • Owner/Driver Safety -Pre-task planning: Performs daily area inspections that encompasses all work in progress to confirm the areas are safe for work to continue. Stops the job whenever necessary until safe work conditions have been achieved. Includes frequent PTP audits and proactive safety coaching with team members.
  • Collaborator / Coordinator Execution -Quality: Understands timing of QCR and QAR inspections and supports the quality program in a manner that enable reliable delivery of the Team's committed Milestone delivery plans. Monitors quality and verifies readiness prior to QAR inspection.
  • Collaborator / Coordinator Execution -3rd Party Support: Engages the organized throughput of all 3rd party testing/certification reports (e.g. Press Test, Analytical Test, Voltage Checks, and Exhaust T&B). Also will be required to coordinate with all 3rd party suppliers in a manner that aligns with the project milestones. Includes validation of system integrity prior to test phases.
  • Owner/Driver Execution -Vendor Coordination: Integration of the tool manufacturer co-dependencies, assembly requirements, logistics.
  • Collaborator / Coordinator Execution -Work Controls: Coordinate SIPP, eFIT, Tool Reservation (idle) activities in compliance to the processes.
  • Coordinator Planning -Coordination: Last Planner® System practitioner; actively participates in the Pull Planning, Weekly Work Planning and Daily Huddle cadence. Proactive understanding of field conditions, conflicts, and predecessor scopes (e.g., area readiness; ped conflicts; 2D/3D process steps). Includes support of SIPPs, eFIT, Tool Reservation (idle) activities in compliance to the processes. Drives constraint removal and achievement of the Team's plans.
  • Collaborator / Coordinator Schedule -Field construction schedule management: Communicates to the project team short interval scheduling priorities that align with the PIT's committed plans and the overall project schedule.
  • Accountable for safe and quality Move In/Out of tools/equipment, Pedestals and components to the CR and Sub-Fab without any interruption to the Fab production.
  • Lead the move-in/out walk-through and directly supervise all Move-in/out activities.
  • Ensure move-in/out contractor, supporting trades contractor or vendor each have all relevant documentation: SIPP, Work Plan, Risk assessment.
  • Remove roadblocks and escalate unresolved issues related to move-in/out activities.
  • Supervise Pedestal Move-in and Installation. Perform pedestal quality inspection prior to move to CR and escalate to Construction Coordinator if quality defect recognized.
  • Spend the majority of the daily routine in the field to provide immediate solutions and supervision.
  • Participate in the Move-in/out coordination meeting.
  • Enforce 100% adherence to MIMO schedule.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to e-Fit timeline and raise the flag if there is a risk of impact to production. Responsible for compliance to IDP guidelines and awareness
  • Prepare and improve BKM’s together with the Project or Construction Coordinator for specific tools and/or activities.
  • Drive IFF culture within contractor's population

Education & Experience:

  • 2 Year Associates Degree to 4 Year Degree
  • 5 years in semiconductor or high tech related construction experience OR
  • 4 year Professional degree in construction management/engineering and 2 years in semiconductor or high tech related construction experience OR
  • 2 year technical degree and 4 years in semiconductor or high tech related construction experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong IT Skills in MS Project, Excel, Project, Word
  • Knowledge of Design and Scheduling Packages
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a technical setting, preferably an engineering department
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills, and the capability to work well under deadlines

  • Travel: level of travel e.g., 0% travel, 0 – 20% travel, 20 – 50% travel
  • Location: Ocotillo site-based role
  • Travel: Occasional travel to other client sites as per business needs.
  • Working hours: 50 hours, Monday to Friday
