Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer or BIM Technician to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Revit and Navisworks, as well as a strong background in AutoCAD.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for various projects

    - Work closely with architects, engineers, and other designers to ensure project requirements are met

    - Create detailed drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks

    - Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve design issues

    - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

    - Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients as needed

     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field experience

    - At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer

    - Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD

    - Knowledge of mechanical systems and components

    - Strong communication and collaboration skills

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    - Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of Mech/HVAC specific design standards (minimum UK/EU), with an understanding of the international building codes.
  • Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
  • Experience using 3D BIM environment.

Location: Hybrid Working
Working hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday.
