Responsible for Design Review and Approval, Monitor the Install, Test, Commissioning and Leave In service of Spec gas systems, equipment, BSGS (Bulk Specialty Gas Systems) and Bulk gases and Liquid Dispense systems. Ensure the install of all the systems and room / area locations and sizing to house the equipment and allowing for future expansion to support ramp and layout changes. Forecast planning and execute additional equipment / new bulk gas plants to ensure future needs are met, include any temporary plans where there is any shortfall. Manage change control and approve the scope for the various changes including layout releases.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Bulk Gas Project Manager will provide services to undertake project management works with Construction team on site including but not limited to the following activities:

  • Provide Engineering input and Project Construction Management PM for the relevant engineering discipline for a fast track high value construction project.
  • Act as Client Representative for the BB Construction of F34. Scope of the responsibility is for client design input, engineering QA/QC oversight, cost control, engineering analysis and solutions.
  • Perform Subcontractor coordination and management, schedule management
  • Perform cost estimation and validation of Base Build progress claims, Change Orders and Miscellaneous PO's.
  • Interface with General Contractor on scope, Change Request Initiations (CRI) , Change Orders (CO) progress and all Base Build commercial matters.
  • Validate cost of CRIs and Change Orders and provide feedback to Project cost Controller and Project Management as needed.
  • Monitor the Install, Test, Commissioning and Leave In service of of all Spec gas systems, equipment, BSGS (Bulk Specialty Gas Systems) and Bulk gases and Liquid Dispense systems.
  • Provide cost analysis of discipline area
  • Immediately escalate any Environmental, Health or Safety concerns in system designs or construction activities.
  • Submit weekly status reports on project activities and progress.
  • Presentation Skills – will need to be able to present data and business information to large groups of individuals
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment in keeping critical and sensitive information, records, and reports
  • Participate in Design Reviews for client
  • Work collaboratively Engineering team members to identify cost reduction and value engineering opportunities on third party designs and installations.
  • Participate in project issue resolution activities by developing plans and scenarios to keep change scope, schedule and cost on track for assigned scope.
  • Conduct Daily field walks during system installation to monitor Installation quality and compliance to design.
  • Write plans for and participate in system Start-up and Commissioning test and Leave In service of systems and equipment.
  • Submit Field observation reports to document any installation quality or design compliance findings

Education and Experience

  • 10 years in semiconductor or high tech related construction experience or 4 year Professional degree in construction management/engineering and 6 years in semiconductor or high tech related construction experience or 2 year technical degree and 8 years in semiconductor or high tech related construction experience.
  • PMP certified professional project manager through PMI (or equivalent industrial experience)

  • Participation in and provision of technical & constructability input to Design Reviews
  • Strong field presence.
  • Participates as key stakeholder from design process, through construction, through OAT’s / FAT’s, matching to white paper complete & approved.
  • Daily coordination with GC, working closely with SPOC, PE, & Work Groups, working closely with SPOC, PE, & Work Groups.
  • Client representation and monitoring of vendor during design, install and handover-built environment. Escalation to necessary level as required
  • Ability to prioritise issues
