Position Summary
Arcadis DPS Group is dedicated to delivering high-quality construction projects while adhering to strict regulatory and compliance standards. We take pride in our commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and legal compliance. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Compliance Director to join our team and ensure that all construction activities align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing and maintaining compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements for our construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive compliance program to ensure that all construction activities meet or exceed established standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Program Leadership
    • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs tailored to the specific requirements of the construction and semiconductor industries.
    • Provide guidance and direction to cross functional teams to achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date and maintain deep knowledge with German construction and semiconductor industry regulations and standards
    • Coordinate with global compliance teams to ensure alignment with Client wide standards
    • Ensure that all construction projects comply with relevant building codes, permits, and zoning regulations.
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training sessions to mitigate potential hazards.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Monitor and manage environmental compliance to reduce the environmental impact of construction activities. o Collaborate with environmental consultants to assess and mitigate potential environmental risks.
    • Oversee proper disposal of hazardous materials and ensure adherence to environmental laws.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain quality control procedures to meet project specifications.
    • Monitor and audit construction activities to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement processes to enhance quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, inspections, and incidents.
    • Prepare regular and comprehensive compliance reports and present findings to senior management and regulatory authorities.
    • Collaborate with legal and regulatory experts to address compliance issues.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. construction management, civil engineering, construction law (Master's degree preferred)).
  • Extensive experience in compliance with a strong track record of leadership preferably within the construction and semiconductor sectors.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction compliance or a related role.
  • Professional certifications in construction compliance and safety (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional [CCEP], Certified Construction Manager, Certified Safety Professional) are a plus.

Essential Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of construction regulations, codes, and standards both in Germany and internationally.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a cross functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities to address complex compliance issues in the construction and semiconductor industries.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to evolving compliance requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with the unique compliance challenges within the construction and semiconductor sector in Germany
