Position Summary
The Construction Director will be responsible for developing the Construction Program for semiconductor clients for Arcadis DPS. This is a key position and requires the successful candidate to understand the construction requirements for giga-projects within the German Construction industry.
The ideal candidate will have performed a leading construction role on a semiconductor construction project and would be significantly experienced in the challenges and mitigation plans of large German construction projects.
As Construction Director, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of construction strategies to ensure the delivery of significant projects in a safe manner for the protection of our employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
You will be responsible for integrating the clients’ requirements with German construction supply chain capability in order to develop a safe and achievable construction project. You will be responsible for the design, mobilisation, and management of a Construction Management team to meet the client’s needs.
You will be required to have in depth experience and connections with the German General contractor's supply chain. Previous experience at a senior level with these suppliers will be a distinct advantage.
A key requirement will be the ability to develop construction work practices to improve the overall delivery of the project. Knowledge of Large capital construction practices and interconnects will be key.
This role will work closely with the regional operations directors and managers of construction, setting standards, supporting the development of project execution strategies, supporting the project teams, and acting as a peer reviewer on the projects to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
