Position summary:

DPS Advanced Technology Group are seeking an experienced ATG Field HP Welding QA/QC. In this role the successful candidate will act as the Owner’s Quality Assurance Representative (scope as per Client specifications) independently inspecting and auditing work scope for quality and ensure systems are installed as per the applicable Codes and specification requirements. 

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
  • Review and approve welding procedures.
  • Verify welder and welding procedure qualification compliance.
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in ASME code and standards (B31.3).
  • Performs the audits to validate and confirm activities.
  • Follow system boundaries in line with isometric drawings and P&IDs to follow system boundaries.
  • Monitor IR, butt Fusion work, GTAW manual and orbital welding work.
  • Focal Point for Specific Discipline, excellent familiarity with the Project Scope and Drawings.
  • Review and follow up of the Trade-Contractors relevant Quality Documentation, TIP’s etc.
  • Tracks CORs for proper closure daily.
  • Supports/ coordinates First of Kinds, First in place installations.
  • Escalation path for General Contractor or Trade Contractor.
  • Performs incremental checks to validate and confirm Trade Contractors installations.
  • Attend mutual QC Walks with Trade Contractor QC.
  • Supports start-up and Commissioning Quality Issues.
Education & experience:
  • 5 years combined experience in the following clean construction market sectors: Semiconductor, Microelectronic, Biotech / Pharmaceutical, Data Centers, etc
Essential skills:
  • Ability to read and understand isometric drawings and P&IDs to follow system boundaries.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Can do and solution driven attitude
  • Willing to learn and develop
