Position Summary:
DPS Advanced Technology Group is seeking a Lead Equipment Sign Off (ESO) engineer with a solid background in construction support to join our growing team based in Penang, Malaysia. The Lead Equipment Sign Off (ESO) Engineer is responsible for the scheduling, co-ordinations, and verification of the Clients requirements for equipment sign off. The ESO’s will report directly to the EHS site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
The Lead ESO responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support start-up/commissioning of equipment/systems
  • Provide Equipment sign off training to Junior ESO techs, PIT teams, and Construction teams
  • Communicate EHS installation requirements and provide ESO programme guidance to the Tool Owner and IQ Team.
  • Manage ESO ramp in assigned functional areas.
  • Participate in ESO/facilities sign offs as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the ESO BKM’s and Corporate guidelines.
  • Provide ESO, EHS Design and Tool De-install training as required.
  • Assist with the development of Tool specific ESO and Tool De-install checklists.
  • Provide input into installation design reviews for Tools and facilities.
  • Ensure applicable codes, standards, and Client EHS requirements are integrated into design, installation, start-up, and qualification of all process Tools.
  • Update ESO web pages and support site EHS as required.
  • Assist with the implementation of the incident and injury free (IIF) program.
  • Support IQ/facilities incident investigations.
  • Support design review for assigned Tools.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience

Essential Skills:

  • Effectively communicate (verbal, written, and electronic) with all levels of management and individuals of diverse disciplines and cultural background
  • Performing design review to verify that EHS requirements are included in plans
  • Chemicals Used Decontamination Label (CUDL) signoff
  • Strong IT Skills in MS Project, Excel, Project, Word
  • Knowledge of Design and Scheduling Packages
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a technical setting, preferably an engineering department
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills, and the capability to work well under deadlines

Other:

  • Location: Malaysia site-based role with visa sponsorship provided for this position.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to other client sites as per business needs.
  • Working hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday
  • Extensive training will be provided prior to travel to client Malaysia site.
