Job Description

DPS provides full EPCMV (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management and Validation) services for its clients. Joining DPS as a Graduate HVAC Engineer you will work closely with colleagues in the HVAC department as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver on projects for our clients. Our clients are primarily in the Pharmaceutical and Micro Electronic industry sectors and the design work is challenging and fulfilling.

Working in HVAC

The DPS HVAC department works as part of a multi-disciplinary practice which handles our client needs in the following areas: architectural, process, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, validation and construction management services.

As a Graduate HVAC Engineer you will be trained and supported on key activities within HVAC / Building Services design. It would be our expectation that the Graduate would progress to full chartered status through our accredited development program and will be a key asset to DPS.

Day to day...

Working as a Graduate HVAC Engineer your day to day role could involve the activities/ projects in the following areas;

  • Energy Saving Review and Implementation
  • HVAC from basic ventilation systems to Grade A clean rooms
  • LPHW
  • Chilled Water
  • Cooling Water
  • Water Services
  • Steam & Condensate
  • Compressed Air
  • CHP

Who are we looking for...

  • Building Services/ Mechanical Engineering– ideally to degree level yet we will accept applications from candidates at Level 6 (Certificate level).
  • From 0-3 years’ experience.
  • The successful candidate shall demonstrate a clear understanding of the fundamentals of HVAC / Building Services design.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility required in terms of travelling to client facilities in Ireland and abroad.
  • Projects can entail extended periods working on client sites as well as in our design office.

Location of Roles

Graduate Engineers will join the relevant team in one of our design centres - in Citywest Dublin

Timelines Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis which shortlisting taking place by end of November. We anticipate having initial conversations with shortlisted candidates in December or early January.
