Project Engineer Utilities / Facilities (Intermediate)
About the Role
Our Client is seeking an intermediate Project Engineer to support site capital projects across utilities, facilities, and infrastructure within a GMP manufacturing environment.
This role will involve supporting the delivery of upgrades, modifications, and installations across clean utilities and plant systems, while working closely with cross-functional teams and contractors onsite.
Suitable for an engineer with GMP experience looking to build further exposure across utilities or process-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of utilities and facilities projects from design through to commissioning and handover
- Work on systems including WFI, Purified Water, Clean Steam, HVAC, compressed air, and chilled water
- Coordinate activities with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external vendors
- Support contractor management and ensure safe project execution
- Prepare and maintain GMP documentation (URS, test protocols, commissioning plans)
- Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, and system handover
Experience Required
- 37 years engineering experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing environment
- Background in utilities, facilities, or process engineering
- Understanding of project lifecycle (design → commissioning → handover)
- Experience with GMP documentation and change control
Desirable
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Electrical, etc.)
- Exposure to validation / qualification activities
